I have this as well but any pressure makes me welt. Also once I do welt it burns and itches. I can honestly say if someone offered me a pill that would get rid of my dematagraphia, I would take it and thank them. =)

I got diagnosed with this condition last week. For me, it's more annoying than it is painful.

One time I wrote F U on my skin and showed it to my teacher, needless to say she kicked me out of the class.

I've been taking zyrtec (or rather costco's version of it) and it seems to work in stopping the itching. I'm wondering if anyone else is using zyrtec and if anyone has experienced any side effects after long-term use.

why doesn't she mention that when it happens it itches like hell, and spreads to other parts of the body?!?!? or does she just get the good stuff?

I have this condition too! and sometimes I use it to escape classes. I run my fingers along my arm to make them red... then say "I need to go to the clinic! allergic reaction!"

I have this condition. It's not embarrassing. If this is the worst thing you can point out about a person, they're doing pretty well in their life lol.

My boyfriend has that. When I scratch his back it looks like i whipped him... I also sometimes write funny words on his back like 'dick' or 'kick me' or something stupid like that. And we are allmost dying laughing :)

i have the same thing too.. hahaha... i sometime scratch myself to home from work.. tell my boss im having allergy..lols
