While I liked Eksi Ekso, it's next to impossible for me to like a Post-Rock list that does not include ONE song by Tortoise.

I've checked out a load of these post-rock charts and while there's undoubtedly some great music out there, I'm finding a lot of it sounding very formulaic and drab these days. Too many bands are taking the Mogwai/Godspeed/Explosions formula, calling themselves ever more pretentious names and not really adding anything new. I can't see originators like Slint, Rodan and Heavy Vegetable ever being topped.

Good to see explosions at the top spot, the others are good but explosions in the sky and mogwai are two of the originals and two of the best. I dont know if anyone else puts Battles in a post-rock sort of genre but they kick ass as well.

@PostRockable IT'S "MY" TOP 20. And notice the upload date-May 6, 2010, during that time, I was obsessed with Post-rock with strings thus the list. I know every fucking band you mentioned, as well as the other people had mentioned. I take a shit with GY!BE playing in the background. I eat my breakfast listening to gifts from enola. I scratch my balls to Sigur Ros. Again, this list was hugely influenced by string instruments.
