Listen to the high quality version at http://lackadaisy.foxprints.com/Lackadaisy-TheRadioPlay.mp3

In Lackadaisy Cats ( http://www.lackadaisycats.com ), the fantastic webcomic from Tracy J. Butler, you can enter the Lackadaisy speakeasy, where the liquor flows straight through the heart of St. Louis, circa 1927.

Put together over several months by a group of voice actors who love the original webcomic, this audio drama adapts the introductory set of pages from the story. We hope you enjoy listening to this project as much as we have enjoyed producing it. A big thank you to Tracy J. Butler, both for creating this wonderful story and for graciously giving permission for us to share this adaptation with you.

  • This pure awesomeness! Are you guys planing on making more!? :D

  • @DefagoLion Hi, thank you for the question! Sadly, at present we have no plans to continue the audio series, we basically wanted to do this as a thank you to the original author for creating the comic to begin with, and to have it encourage others to read the comic too. That said, you never know!

  • OMG! <3<3 DO VIKTOR!! <3

  • I personally think Rocky's voice fits him. Very quirky. All of the voices are perfect!

  • I loved it. only thing was close to the end. rocky's voiceover actor seemed kinda odd if not too dramatic. maybe have him lower the pitch? but the other voices were really good. especially ivy's. it would be amazing to hear more of this. the ambiance sounds were spot on

  • Dude, you've gotta post the next one!! :D

  • Ivy is spot on! :D

  • Almost everything here sounds spot-on. I only have just a few comments: I'd suggest Mitzi's voice should sound just a little more sultry as well as Southern, and Tracy has said that Rocky doesn't have an Irish brogue- it's Calvin who has traces of one. Everyone else sounds perfect, though- I'd love it if you did another adaptation somewhere down the line. (:

  • I really love this adaptation. I grew up listening to Old Time Radio, so this is right up my alley~♥ I would be incredibly happy if you made some more installments--It's just too good! Especially Viktor. He's my favorite character, and you captured him perfectly!

  • Oh Darn. My hopes went way down after I looked for the second one. You guys should make a second! I thought this was official! It's awsome! Lackadaisarific! XD

  • I gotta say you got Rocky's laugh perfectly. Half maniacal and... well no it's mostly maniacal.

  • God, Ivy was just ridiculously perfect. If Lackadaisy Cats ever makes it into animation (keep'n my fingers crossed) They have to get THIS Ivy. They HAVE. TO. ;P

  • Nice work!

  • Can I get a download link for this?

  • Oh god I love the Rocky voice. <333 I would love to see these characters animated.
