Muslims attack swedish artist Lars Vilks and clashes with police - Sweden 11 May 2010

The swedish artist Lars Vilks was attacked today at a lecture about art and freedom of expression at Uppsala University in Sweden.

The attack was prompted when Wilks showed a film with gaymen wearing headmasks of prophet Muhammad.

People were shouting: "Turn off the Movie" and " Why are you doing this to us, this is pornography" and "You dishonor Muhammad".




Police and security guards were present at the lecture and two men were arrested for the assault.
