@MrNHLMan They're satellites for the sun. A star's satellites may be planets, dwarf planets, asteroids, or comets. These satellites' satellites are the moons.

It was one of the facts as stated in Al-Quran, including the Big Bang theory has been proved, and many more.
I wish the Earth was a moon for some massive planet that can also harbor life. Image the night sky and the interplanetary interactions between the intelligent species us and the planet we revolve around.

@MetalicAtheist Improving the totality of knowledge is always a good thing, even if there's no apparent practical purpose for that knowledge.
