#1 hit single in America in 1975, with Elton John on back up vocals and David Foster on keyboards. Written by Neil Sedaka and Phil Cody for Sedaka's album "The Hungry Years" on Elton John's record company Rocket Records. The song held the #1 spot for three weeks, until it was replaced by Elton's own "Island Girl". Elton's backing vocals really made the song - and it's catchy as Hell! :o)

  • You got the wrong album cover on there, it was on "The Hungary Years album, not "Sedaka's Back"

  • I know, but Sedaka's Back has such a nice cover....... ;-)

  • I wonder why these 2 didn't record more songs together, egos?

  • They did one more together - and it WASN'T a hit! Maybe that's why...

  • @jukingeo lol... me, too.. heard it first on the radio in '75 (and i might be older than you are!)

  • Good song to listen to after a bad break up.

  • @cdubb999 ha! love it.. (That 70's show was all my brothers and sisters.. I was born in 69)

  • @racingirl1595 Never mind. I know now that it was a flute. Should've kept reading the comments before I posted, lol!

  • @jukingeo I'm that old too! I was in high school in 1975. I had the album The Hungry Years and this was my favorite song on the album. Does anyone know if that is a flute or a recorder in the background? Always wondered about that...
