  • That is amazing! :O It looks great! I still wonder how he works with those loose sheets and what exactly is on them... I have seen others work with those before and they seem to be pre-made pictures (of a planet or mountain for example). At first I thought that would make it all very easy, but then again... here it looks more like a normal newspaper or something used to mix the two layers of paint in such a way that the mountain appears :) I still have no clue...! :D Great work!

  • Hey Nox. He uses the newspaper to "sponge" shapes into the wet paint. the dry paper soaks up some of the paint and reveals the color beneath. He did not pre-cut the newspaper, rather he folds or crumples it into the desired shape. It really is amazing to watch live. Thanks for the Comment

  • @uglycassan0va The first time I visited Austin, in 2005, my brother took me to 6th Street. We got a slice of pizza at some place he called "Satan's pizza" (wasn't it's real name, but he called it that because the guy was always blasting Slayer and Cannibal Corpse from behind the counter), and walked over to watch the spray paint artists. I have the painting still hanging in my office, a great memory. A shame they're not still there, definitely something everyone should see.

  • Yeah. I live in austin. Havent seen these guys in about 5 years. And there were 2 guys out every night. Their spot got closed down cuz some shitty bar called "whiskey rocks" took over thd space. Anyway. Literally before u could eat a slice of pizza they could produce a crazy piece of art. Usually landscapes. Space landscapes. Good nonetheless.

  • I looked him up - I believe his name is Hiroshi & he's on Fremont Street in Vegas now.

  • anyone know this guys name? he still do this downtown? looking for another piece or 2

  • It really was awesome to watch, I have one of these hanging up in my room - went over to the states and stumbled upon this guy when we were in Phoenix. Absolutely amazing art.

  • Yeah, my friends and I were all, "what is he doing?" at first, and then, SHAZAM, a planet and a mountain appeared.

    Great stuff.
