This is the first of probably 3 tutorials I'm planning on doing.

This tutorial covers:
1) crash course in programming a pattern
2) how to sync the mc-202 to ableton without a din sync converter

upcoming video's will include:
1)a bit deeper into programming a pattern
2)how to realtime record a pattern
3)how to save and load patterns via "tape"
4)how to set the 202's accent mode to FA so that you have filter accents in gate mode

You can download the Pilot and Sync tones used in this video here:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/wiejmjmnezm/mc-202 pilot and sync Project.zip

apologies for the middle of the video where it just stairs at the monitor for a bit, I was thinking more about talking that what I was pointing at.

As far as I understand there is no memory. Unless you record to tape/HD what again isnt memory on the 202.

Switch it off and back on.

  • Cheers so much for the tip. Saves me much dosh buying a MIDI 2 DIN Sync convertor.

Thanks man! Great vid. 6 stars if I could.

  • This is immense. I was about to sell my 202 for not being compatible with my setup. Thanks so much.

  • thank you

  • hi so the sync tone i route that audio to 202 but does it not all run through the master . so all other sound is passing thru?

  • Ive never really heard of this until now, but I have fallen in love with it from your video.

Mind sharing where you acquired it?

  • First time i see this machine, Is it analog ? Sounds analog to me. that makes some sweet basslines
