@KidsWithGuns1992 - rash and rude, but I just think you're picking on someone who is doing something productive and good for the people of the world. He is helping with pushing back censorship (a huge issue, especially in America), he's bringing happiness to people in a time of need, etc etc.

@KidsWithGuns1992 Humor, firstly, isn't something that you'll quite often find stupid people being able to pull off. Secondly he's made it into a career, most if not all comedians who have made it "big time" I would say are quite intellectual - you have to be able to pick up the subtleties, the quirks, the strange twists on things that make certain subjects humorous.

Have a listen to that podcast I mentioned and I think you may change your mind. Anyway I apologize for being -

@pietrrocks Well he uses the English version of the word cunt, Americans use it in a misogynistic way, most Poms don't, but that's beside the point. I think you may have misunderstood Ricky Gervais, he can seem a bit like a cocky bastard - but if you listen to one of his interviews by Piers Morgan, he sounds like quite a nice and hard working chap.

I think he has the talent of humor and being a hard worker, amongst many other things which I can't be arsed to explain. (continue cmnt)

I just think Gervais gives off the aroma of intellectual superiority but I dont think theres much behind it. I dont think hes on the same street as Quentin Crisp or Oscar Wilde and reverts to cynical quips to give the impression he is smart, however what talent does he really have? acting? music? I dont think so, hes just a tarted up window dressing for what may appear to be English cynicism
