@FinnStrype there you go! lol. when you sing as often and for as long a set as they do, you have the good days with the bad ones, lol. ask danny gokey from last years ai, lol. if you have noticed though, the keyboard player, often in the background, is sometimes only there to sing background vocals. he looks like the other guy they got to sing with micheal in boston, so maybe he can help double micheal's vocals on tough nights. love this band though!! God bless ya man

@FinnStrype AGreed, no way it was a playback. He's just that good. And yah when you're touring it takes a toll on your voice some days. Only logical.

@uraniumjoe Normally im not for cross-genre shows BUT you definitely are onto to something huge.

WHAT IF....
Stryper went with As I lay Dying on tour?
That would be SICK

I think he uses some kind of playback for the final scream in this song, at some concerts. This sounds too good to be done live, whereas in other live performances of this song, he has sounded very hoarse and often refrained from doing the scream at all. Seems like there's no middle ground between a half-hearted growl and this perfect ending scream.

Well I have heard this live 2 times and haven't noticed any playback. Often you have good and bad days for doing high notes.

One of the most famous 80's metal bands Stryper. Lead singer is Michael Sweet. If you haven't heard of them you really should find out more about them.
