I can't see what'd be so super special awesome about the ever-raved Chrono Trigger, the battle system is as boring as possible, if you can win battles with permanent fastforwarding there's no need for round-based combat

story might be good but the above mentioned battle system and the tedious puzzles really hamper my desire to get very far in that game

I haven't liked any of the Dragon Quest games I've played (1,6,8,9,Joker) even though I really love JRPGs. They're just way too slow and bland, and the music is just sleep-inducingly boring.

I am not quite sure if a RPG works for the YOLO series, but I still have not come to a complete decision

Liked your choice of the game. Loved this as a kid , but I had the Dragon Warrior I&II combined game. The graphics and overall gameplay were much better however. It was also much easier than the later games in the series because of the fact that you encounter only one enemy at a time.
