@math101a Yes. But if you already have it cranked and then pump more gain into it with a pedal the amp will over compress. Over compression is a sound you have to experience. I can't explain what it sounds like, I guess the nearest I can get is as if every note you play is produced at the same volume (pick attack means nothing when over compressed) and sustain lasts years for each and every note. Some people love it and some hate it. I'm a lover but it sounds BOLLOCKS for chords :D

Could you drive this amp into a more dirty sound using pedals? For example like the plexitone pedal?

@guitarlordification Cheers mate! Yeah was a lovely amp! Got it for just on 2k at the time. It was one of the first years they made the JTM45 reissues, so i was pretty happy price wise haha. Cheers, yeah I love Gretsch's, though I love Fenders also, and I've got some big love for SG's and Les Paul Juniors too! Take it easy mate! :)
