Steam Train: 60163 Tornado on The William Shakespeare, Beaconsfield, 30 Dec 2011

LNER Peppercorn A1 class 4-6-2 Pacific steam locomotive no 60163 "Tornado" hauls the steam excursion "The William Shakespeare" from London Paddington to Stratford On Avon on the morning of Friday 30th December 2011. The train is seen passing through Beaconsfield Station on the now Chiltern Railways route.

The train was originally intended to be hauled by preserved GWR King Class no 6024 King Edward I, but gauging issues in the Midlands forced the late change of locomotive. 6024 would have been appropriate for this route as the Kings used the haul the Great Western's London - Birmingham expresses through here.
