Here Scott Whitley talks about his Richwood Bass Guitars. As well as the long scale Richwood, Scott also demonstrates the fabulous tone of his 3/4 30" Scale Richwood Piccolo Bass!
Scott is currently plays with the Ric Lee Blues Project, The Chip Kendall Band, Roo Walker, Philippa Hanna, Paul Guard, Dawn Elektra, Rob Livesey, Will Tang as well as fronting his own band - The Scott Whitley Quartet.
In these videos he shares his wealth of bass knowledge accumulated over more than 25 years of bass playing.

Thanks for this review, and excellent playing!
Your video convinced me to get one (a 130NT) , as a bass on the side for my homerecordings. It's well put together for the price, don't know how it will last but so far so good.

It seem they've vanashed off the face of the earth. ANother company that does great shorties is SX Basses/Rondo Music. Google this model - SX Ursa 2 JR
They're about the only similar alternative I can think of at the mo'. They are actually even better than the Richwoods to be honest :-)

First off, props for telling the truth about 'cheap' basses, where they're lacking and how a little fret-level can transform them into truly competent instruments. Secondly, wow! You're a talented player and you really illustrate how the abilities and creativity of the artist is far more important than the cost of the 'brush' he/she uses to express himself/herself.
