Owners of companies hiring illegals should be HEAVILY fined with the possibility of jail time. If you make it too risky and ultimately unprofitable for the owners you'll see the supply and demand drastically reduced.

No, these people should not be exploited but they should not be here illegally either.

Working for tips would be fine if American's weren't skinflint tightwad miserly coldhearted lumps of lard. Tip 20% or stay out of restaurants. Tip $5 minimum or park your own damn car. Tip three or four dollars or wash your car in the self serve bay. And to the carwash companies, buy a damn box or two of latex surgical gloves you lowlife pigs or at least require employees to buy their own.

@Carly8Corday The migrants take their culture and habits with them. They have a hard time asking for better in Mexico, so they don't. Then they come to the USA with the same fatalism because they did not come here legally. I wouldn't be surprised if many of the car wash owners are Mexican as well, and they know how to be the same patrons in the States as they were in Mexico. It is hard to ask for dignity and rights if you have unclean hands. Ultimately we need to rid get of NAFTA.

this seems to be a big problem in CA (border states) where there are many hispanics, both legal and illegal. it's not right to be denied basic comforts, but they take jobs no one else wants and take what is offered. they come for a better life and unfortunately are taken advantage of by their employers.
