A Congolese student's perspective.
This interview was taped in November 2006 while Kambale Musavuli was still the President of the Association of African Students at North Carolina A&T State University. One of the mission of AAS was to bring awareness to issues Africans face here in the US and in Africa. AAS brought awareness of the Darfur and Congolese struggle during his presidency.

  • This guy is giving a very romantic idea of why the media does not cover the issues in his country. No unfortunately the truth is that most people do not give a shit. They care more about the football than genocide in the congo.

  • this black chick is annoying

  • This good brother iam from Goma town and you look familiar did you attend your school in Goma?my name is samuel nguma i live in australia.

  • there is an old saying that if a tree doesn't produce anymore fruit or flower, cut it out and throw it in the fire. I think that it is time to change the government. since they are not producing any good results. sitting behind the desk and trying to look pretty in front of the media doesn't solve anything in the congo.

the president is inexperience, lacks leadership, and how can I put it "dumb"

  • hey I live in north carolina too. great issue that you have raised about women waking up and dressing up ready to be get rape that's so cruel. I am from congo too. we have gone too far very far as far as violence. this is the government's responsibities (ending the violence) and so far I haven't seen or heart any significant change in violent what are they doing???

  • Well done! and keep it up!

  • its great they took an interest

  • Ne Jamais trahir le Congo

  • Joseph Kabila; He did not go to school. He does not care about Congo. He hasn't done anything since he has been in the office.
