  • No way.......do not do that.

    If you can't use a clamp, use a short 4x4.

    those bands break with no warning.

    good luck.

  • thanks for the concern. i just paid the guy to cut it, i have no experience with a sawmill. i tried to stay a safe distance away.

  • this is a prime example of why there are warning labels for everything. This screams accident. C'mon guys don't get yourselves hurt for a piece of wood.

  • I'm looking at getting me one of these saws so that I may cut timber off of my place. There's no way I would ever put my hand around the blade in that manner.

  • Now... I'm sure you know what happens when you break a band.... PLEASE find a different way to keep that burl from shifting....
