For those of you who are not familiar with this razor, it is quite "noisy", most DE's don't make as much noise but I rather like this... Just in case you were wondering, his technique is quite good and most of the time he is applying perfect pressure, so the noise is attributed to the design of the razor... Again, I quite like this as it is not common in most razors making the Futur rather unique in that sense... Thumbs Up !

Thanks for the very good review! I use the same razor and I like it very much.

@shavefan12 if you rinse it off afterwards and moisturize after you should be fine :)

The Arko cream is really oily. Any idea if it clogs the pores or causes ache?

Used to use the Wilkinson Classic now upgraded to the Merkur HD34C Brilliant Razor

@wheely132 highly recommended. in fact i use the same razor as this man. its a bit pricey, but once u get used to safety razor shaving you will never go back to the multi blade plastic junk. I actually look foward to shaving now.

I gave my Futur away days after I got it. Merkur 38C remains my fave.

Paul any idea why this video got so many hits?
I just did the 3 pass shave with my Barbasol shaving cream with aloe, and my Gillette Fusion Proglide razor. Suck an awesome shave :) I have wanted to experience with a double sided razor, shave soap, and a brush though!! Is it much better that way?

@wheely132 , It is a better shave, but with the double edge razor you have to be careful at first, go slowly and gentle. Then as you get used to it, you enjoy it and you get quicker with time.

@wheely132 , I would recommend a pharmacy own brand double edge razor to start, then move on from there. They are cheap enough. Thanks

I'm waiting for my tub of Taylor of Old Bond Street to arrive tomorrow and I can't wait! Have you ever used any of the Truefitt & Hill shave creams and/or balms? They have a fairly cheap sample pack ($19 - I'm in the U.S.) that has their different shave creams, balms, and colognes. Looking forward to see how you like the Edwin Jagger. Great videos! Keep it up!

nice video, what do you recommend a 17yr old with very sensitive skin uses to shave?
BallisticBrawler 3 weeks ago
@BallisticBrawler , I too have sensitive skin, I found that Taylor of old Bond st for sensitive skin shaving soap, plus try using a Wilkinson Sword razor to start with, which is less severe on the skin. Arko is good too. rinse well and use moistursing cream, plus I shave every other day which helps too, unless I am needing to shave of course. Good luck.
