"Splice": an experimental 16mm black and white short film about the filmatic process. Filmed using Bolex and K3 cameras. Original music by Ben Kasman.

  • that was cool. I enjoyed it alot. Can you tell me which was shot on K3 and which used a bolex. Just wanted to see the difference in picture. I just got a K3 recently.

  • Thanks! How cool you got a camera! For the most part all of the exteriors are K3 and the interiors are Bolex. There are some interior K3 shots in the flatbed room. In general I preferred using the K3 because there was less hassle with the lenses; but, i could get better close-ups with the Bolex. If you can get your hand on some filters for the K3, I'd recommend it. I used an ND a couple times. Have fun with your new camera!
