  • Good info! Do you know who's playing the bass? It's a great bass part; much better than the bass part on the remix that's on Chris' "Very Best of" album.

  • @Schembre I think it was Pat Donaldson. Cheers.

  • @MsMovieThemes I had thought mistakenly for many years it was the bassist for the Union Gap who sat in for the session

  • @1979mackdriver I try to be accurate in giving credits to the musicians, I not only love the artists, but also the musicians that makes the song so endearing. Cheers.... have a great day!

  • MsMovieTunes: I wonder if you are the lady in that video, because it was done so well with that very attractive lady, and that song. Thank you for sharing it with the world!

  • This version is 50 times better than the remixed one later, and the extended version is 100 times better than the single.

  • Great job putting this video together.

  • Just had to thank the person who did the video. I was just approaching my teen years when this song came out, it grabbed my heart then. I just wish that when I was seventeen, I had remembered the theme of the lyrics then. Thanks for the memories.

You know why a lot of these songs, "grab your heart", as you put it---they remind us of loved ones who are no longer with us! This one reminds me of my mother back in the late 70's to early 80's...Great memories of one of the very few I ever felt loved by!

  • This song and video are like the great weed of the era, I keep coming back for another hit! As we used to say back then..bitchen song

  • @Librajazzman totally agree, watching this, feeling hearbroken from being dumped, but kind of good, because the music is great, makes me glad that im an old fart!!!!!!!!!

  • Great video and song. I have to redo this with my instruments and give it to my children who miss me after a terrible divorce.
