Here at Saint Matthew Lutheran Church, we take a Sunday to honor our Veterans and family members who have served in the military.
It is appropriate that Veterans Day is celebrated so close to Thanksgiving. Observing Veterans Day is to thank and honor all those who serve and have served honorably in the military. The apostle Paul encourages the Christians in Corinth to offer their lives as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. We are thankful for the living example of our veterans who have willingly poured out their lives in service and sacrifice.
