Shufat Refugee Camp

the 8th of February 2010 was the day that can be called a dark day at shufat camp in the north of jerusalem as it was the time when the Israeli government decided to take on a new policy which would be to clean the camp from the people they are out of law according to the israeli state and expel them out of the camp or arrest them .

Day or night , dark or light everybody was ready to welcome the israeli soldiers at the front of the house or at the street or even inside the rooms of the house to ask for the people that are accused in throwing stones and being against the occupation , it was 1.00am when this military operation started , going into the houses , arresting helpless youngmen and soldiers having fun in creating pain for the families . Soon it was noon time and everybody was going back from school but suddenly with a blink of an eye ; sound bombs exploding , tear gas , rubber bullets being shot at the young men and children as it is fireworks but in mid-day , school children screaming and feeling the horrible fear of such a situation ,crying but no one to respond or make a move .

the day 8th of feb 2010 ends but who knows there is tomorrow and the day after tomorrow .
