Food is being turned into fuel.
Bees are dying all over the world.
We have been pouring pesticides and toxins into the ground for centuries.
We have been harvesting the oceans to the brink of ecological collapse.
We have been polluting the oceans, skies and land for years.
No wonder we are heading for a food crises.

i have a feeling we're heading for a hell of a lot more than that

"And the second angel sounded and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed"

Eating locally grown food would be great... if everyone stuck to what grows locally. Unfortunately some people won't stop eating oranges just b/c oranges don't grow in Nebraska. So farmers turn to dangerous chemicals, stripping soil to keep up with customers' selfish demands. The harm done is far worse than a few trips by truck or plane to deliver goods worldwide.

If we can feed the world... When will it become apparent that the lack of birth control and overpopulation will manifest itself with the carry capacity of world is reached and we have world wide famine and death of a majority of our population? Even worse who are you going to force to work to harvest, ship, and distribute the food to people in third worlds? Not to mention an army it needs to be protected? Where will the money come from? Or will we all work for free?

@ClownViolenceBoogie Not at all. I'm a skeptic first and foremost. And what I notice is that our food system, although abundant is incredibly fragile. Local food insulates a community from that, and with energy costs set to rise we'd be better off growing more of our own food. There's nothing extreme about this video. Nor does it deal in hyperbole.
