On the topic of DIY, check out the Cam Caddie Scorpion before spending too much. Cam Caddie is about $38 and it can hold camera/lights/mics/ and a monitor all at once if need be while maintaining smooth movement. it's worked out perfectly for me.

how will you push the rec button ???? you have to catch the grip with the left hand, the right hand push the rec then you are put your left hand back to follow focus and simultaneously catch the grip with your right hand....result....5 sec of rubbish footage until you focus....

highway robbery...and these douchey dorks at Cinevate KNOW it...the gear is pretty awesome and looks great...but prohibitively expensive

bahah, who would pay for this? Are you kidding? This company obviously misses the entire idea behind the HD movement where things become AFFORDABLE for home users. I built a decent DSLR camera rig with parts from home depot, cost me around $30 and people think I bought it. Don't waste your money on something like this, if you are into DSLR's, spend the money on a really nice lens...that is more an area where you want be putting the big bucks in.
what camera was used shooting this video?

@007madigan Hey, we used the Panasonic HPX500 or Sony's EX1 for this and a lot of our older videos. For our newer videos we've been using 5D Mk IIs. Cheers.

Would the small camera grip you sell be strong enough to use for a t2i? I just want to use a dfocus with a dmount and the cinevate small camera grip mounted into the 1/4 20 hole of the dmount. Would that be too heavy for the grip? Was also thinking of maybe mounting an lcd monitor onto the hotshoe of the t2i but not sure about the added weight of that either.

@earworm most definitely. You will find that the small camera grip is rock solid.
