This is the flip side to the 1969 hit Indian Giver. The reason they recorded it backwards so radio stations would play the A side. If you put the needle at the end of the record and spin your turntable backwards it makes sense, they are singing about bringing back the t.v. show Howdy Dowdy. Radio stations played Pow Wow backwrds on the air anyways.

  • I had this record in 1969 and we played the crap out of this song, and my mother would yell at us to put it on the right speed. HaHa.

  • @motorbiker63 Was that because she thought you had the truntable at the wrong speed? Most of the time this 45 is wore out when you find copies of it, at least in my experience. Am glad you checked out the video.

  • I know that Buffalob Bob Smith probably took offence in Copyright violation on his "It's Howdy Doody Time,AKA Ta-Rah-Rah-Rah-Boom-Dee-A!" Theme,so that's why the Producers reversed it
