  • Metroid sounding or not, can we just listen to the music please?

  • @Schokioki You misunderstand my direction, dear sir. I appreciated all the works in this concert, including the Metroid suite. Condescending? No, but trying to make a point, I can appreciate a work that is out of the ordinary. I'm just trying to influence an open mind, and I am in no way trying to argue or have an attitude towards you or the other works.

  • @Furnardan I can't help noticing your condescending attitude towards "blunt theme-after-theme traditional" compositions for the "common crowd"...

Eventually, it's a matter of taste, of course, but I think it was far too much in this one.

Furthermore, I wouldn't call the" Symphonic Fantasies' " Chrono suite blunt but beautiful though it's not much changed and fits your "theme after theme" description.

  • @Schokioki I'm sorry to hear that.

tbh, it sounds like someone took the atmosphere of Metroid and tried producing "atonal" work that would impress all the contemporary advant-garde/atonal critics. You have to have your ear highly tuned to hear all the brisk, come-and-go sounds of Metroid in the piece, not necessary just themes and melodies. True, it doesn't please the common crowed with it's lack of blunt theme-after-theme traditional style, it's more of an experiment in advant-garde

  • This arrangement made me really angry. What a mess..

"Hey, let's make a Metroid arrangement but without any actual Metroid themes so we can reflect a deeper meaning of the game"

Makes like totally sense to me.

  • @Furnardan Really? Cause I played all the Metroid classics. And truth be told, it doesn't reflect any of the things I relate to Metroid. Artistic and complex are words that can mean anything.

And honestly, if they don't echo any themes of the games they're supposed to represent then the arrangement doesn't have anything to do with Metroid.

It's just a big mess and the arranger also managed to totally destroy the Metroid theme.

I was there and I hated every second of that arrangement.

  • Not just a simple medley of the Metroid themes, this piece goes deep and reflects the whole style and feel of Metroid, being very artistic and complex. It doesn't simply echo the main Themes to be redudant like every other common medley, and I can appreciate and respect that.

  • Is there any Metroid theme here ? Oh yes... at 6:20...

  • lol there sure dressed up for this garbage

  • I think people forget that Metroid is sort of a horror game. and it should remain Horror space adventure.
