quick question here, how do you actually keep the focus right when both of your hand have to be on the mmc? what is the aperture you using? i guess should be above f4?

Do you think the MMC can hack a 550d with a Tamron 17-50 lens?? Anyone?

Congrats for the vid! But I don't understand... I read on the net, the Hague MMC is only good for camera under 1 kg. And the 550d is more than 1 kg. (mine is 1.8). Even how is it possible, your footage is so smooth? /Congrats again, nice cut also/

@shallowww Thanks for your comment and the compliments. Well i can only use my MMC with the 550d and two of my lenses: The 18-55 Kit Lense and the 50 mm 1.8. No Battery Grip etc. Everything else is way too heavy, so i think your 1.8 Kg is the 550D + additional equipment? Try to use it with the 18-55 Kit Lense and make it wide. This works best!

@gefilmtde I made another measure just before, and you are right. It is 0.8kg, so I have seen wrong :) Sometimes I use Rode videomic as an addition, but I guess for walking or running recordings, it is'nt needed. So all I have to do is to order the MMC with no any additional stuff, and it will work with the 18-55 Kit Lense? /By the way thank you for the information/

@shallowww Yep that will work. It's a try and error path to adjust the MMC right, but once you've got it mark the point with a pen and you're rdy to go the next time. I just it not that often, but it's nice to have this thing and the price is okai. Although right now i would also take a look at the Flycam nano.
