平塚市の名物、七夕まつりです。
会期は現在７月第一木曜日から日曜日までとなっていますので
今年は7月7日当日は会期から外れますのでご注意ください。
例年周辺道路は大変渋滞しますので東海道線でのご訪問をお勧めします。

Tanabata,known as the beautiful love story about two stars that reunite only once a year in Shonan-Hiratsuka Tanabata Festival as the story of "Lover Stars Across the Milky Way" at present day.
Hiratsuka is an active town both in culture and in sports so that various generations communicate with each other like stars in the Milky Way.
Enjoy streets lined with bamboo decorations and the colorful illuminations at night which will brighten up the entire downtown area and create a romantic atmosphere.

"Shonan" Hiratsuka!

"Konan" is the best (most-difficult to get into) Prefectural high school in Hiratsuka, but not at all related to Tanabata festival.
