@AinokeatoProductions An expert will approach their work the same as the Saxons artist would 1000 years ago, with imagination, inspiration and skill. The re-enactor draws in the style of his ancestors, that does not mean he cannot be an artist in his own right. You cannot separate Re-enactment and imagination, because Re-enactment is a re-creation and re-imagining of the past.

@AinokeatoProductions . I don’t think I have time to explain how each individual affects us today, indepth. They have each had a profound influence on human culture.
As for having no imagination in copying a design….You may as well say a poem takes no imagination as the poet does not create the language or invent writing .

@AinokeatoProductions @AinokeatoProductions Leonardo’s practical machines had very little impact. Most of them were simply dreams that were never built. The few that where- for example the robotic knight and lion-were generally built to entertain.
I don't recall saying anything about shaking humanity to it's core. Something that furthers the existence of humanity is simply something that shapes culture and furthers our understanding of ourselves and of the nature of the world around us.

Leonardo revolutionized painting and art. He also was an early master of perspective and anatomy. Even more importantly, He pioneered the technique of Sfumato and Chiaroscuro, which allowed an almost photographic modelling of form. This scientific approach to painting, ushered in a new age. Inspiring the super realism of Caravaggio‘s day, where man could, for the first time could record the world around him.
-
@300warrior300 Right, so once again, how does this further the existence of humanity? You seem to be straying from the point here.
-
@300warrior300 How did any of this further the existence of humanity? What did Shakespeare write that shook the foundation of Humanity at its core? Mozart, Walt Disney, or Leonardo Da Vinci? It did nothing to further the existence of humanity, further, Leonardo did not further human existence through his paintings, rather, his inventions.
-
@300warrior300 This takes absolutely no imagination as once again, everything created is based off an original design. It takes little to no imagination to create something that already has been created. It's like saying you've discovered something first when there are people who've been there before you.
-
@300warrior300 So how is this any different than opening a book? Further, it doesn't take a re-enactment to rebuild something from a design.
Were these guys English or Angles... or is it Engles?
Cardoniman 2 months ago
@Cardoniman Well there not modern English, their old English
or Anglo Saxon - Angles. England as a recognisable culture and language will be begin to appear till around the 14th century, but it wouldn't be wrong to call the English. A and E was kindof a mixed up letter in those days.. Most people say Anglish rather then Engle though.
