sry if this is offensive but these pictures of westerns cosplaying are really bad and i really think that westerns cant cosplay..it just looks wrong on them,im asian and i know i sound racist but i really dont want to be so mean but i just think it doesent look good on western ppl..

u cant really judge which race fits better because ive seen good looking asians and westerners cosplaying... i think it really depends on the person

that is not the point I prefer Western over Asian they both can be good and bad at times

@brunettesunangel The Japanese got inspired to make Japanese animation because of Disney. If asians can pull of the look so well then why do they need circle contact lenses to make they're eyes big just to resemble the character their trying to portray. Why are half the anime characters appear to be western? meaning blue/green eyes and blonde hair like "Sailor Moon for example." How come japanese animators choose not make characters that look like themselves.

Has anyone stopped to consider that Cosplay is about having fun, " OK unless your a 300 pound man dressed as sailor moon" that not fun for anyone. if you go into too much detail you ruin a fun thing and turn it into something that people won't want to do. Just have fun with it and stop being so serious

Heya im an Australin guy and i think your both going a bit too far and in your effort to try and prove "proudjapanese" wrong you in yourself have become onesided in your argument. when you loook at this from an impartial anime lovers point of view both the japanese and western cosplayers have good photos andbad, and in this there will enevitably be characters that westeners will have trouble pulling of as well a characters that asians will have trouble with. but remember this is all just 4 fun

..why oh why do people fight about COSTUMES?

Who the f cares? Don't waste time on racist/stupid people, and just live a happy life. Where you can dress up as whoever you want to. And I must say that it's not fair of you saying that the Asian cosplayers are "worse" than the others (the Zelda ones as an example) I think both girls are rly pretty! And who the hell would pull of dressing up as the Simpsons if people just are supposed to dress up as they look. That's no costume, that's just lazy.

You can say that western don`t really look good when cosplaying (I personally think that they are generally less good than asian cosplay,not ALL the time) but you cant tell them that they cant or shouldnt cosplay. You may not mean that, but the fact that proud asians usernames are actually ORDERING around and trying to convince people to hate western people(because of exaggerated reasons) is just wrong.

So you cant support them.
