My cat died today :(

@peteristehbest one of my later "tricks" have been to change the focus, simply putting the focus to something else by doing something else. doesn't always work, but sometimes. Pets help a lot too, and writing. Also if we're to believe science things never truly die, just move in space, as time "floats". There are also internet support groups and forums that will help... \:]

@peteristehbest hm, i need to find some activities that will help lose my depression. cause i'm only 18 and i don't want my life to be meaningless. so that's a good bit of advice there. thanks! and i'm sorry for your losses.

@peteristehbest: Believe me, I understand. I have lost many myself. My condolences for your losses.
I did not mean to appear condescending. I actually meant that from my heart, for what it's worth. Myself, I have certainly felt the way you do—perhaps worse, during many difficult periods in my life. Despite all this, I believe that life is wonderful and full of possibilities. Having this perspective and a hopeful attitude has enabled me to observe that which is good and makes me happy.

@chinopisces yeah i just had a hard life. lost my mum when i was 12. lost my dad at 17. both my grandads at 2007 and 2003. my dog i had for 14 years. my sister who died at birth. and so on. i haven't had an easy life and i try to be strong and hold it in but sometimes it just over flowe's and you just need to let it all out. well when i typed that i was pretty much in tears.

@chinopisces if you say so.
-
@peteristehbest: Because you perceive it to be so.

why is life so fucking hard and pointless.

Regardless of ones belief there is only one truth out there regarding afterlife. And not a single LIVING human knows and will ever know, so thats why i think religion is bs, they haven't been there, they don't know shit.

No. Everyone is wrong. We are all part of a computer; our purpose is to find the right questions about the life, the universe, and everything. So we think, pass on our knowledge, then the are replaced. When we figure everything out finally, the earth will have served its purpose. It will then die. We are also controlled by aliens in the sky.
I don't mourn the dead, I reflect. I remember them when they were alive and cherish the memories they have created!

I'd say religious people are the ones who cannot ever come to terms with death, because they have invented a fake place where copies of their loves ones go, and where they will go when they die... which is all a fucking stupid lie. So if they really believe that, then they never can grieve, and they never can get over the death of loved ones because they don't really think they are dead.
