Yuh know sometimes you have one or even two perceptions about an issue, and then someone introduces an angle that just hammers home one side or just changes the medz completely?
That was me the first time I heard this song.

Written by Bobby Goldsboro in 72, Dorothy covered it in 77.

  • This is one messed up song. Its like a Soul version of those tearjerker Country Songs of the 70s. But why do we love listening to them so much? lol...

  • @catboyzee123 Because just like the country songs they tell a story we can identify with and live through the music. Built better than ford tough, they were made to last as opposed to a lot of here today gone tomorrow music

  • THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! For posting this song. I have been racking my brains for weeks trying to remember the title to this song and I finally got the answer tonight from my mama. I was 6 yrs old when this song came out and I would listen to it and cry my little heart out. Thanks for bringing back childhood memories.

  • I remember crying and boo-hooing awhile to this song when I was a teenager - and thank you Jesus I had no little Suzy. . . But she made this thing real to me. . . What a story what song what an artist...

  • @GlamDivaVirgo TRY YEARS, I heard this song way back-when on 107.7 KSOL and never knew who sang it. Ive asked everyone I knew and nobody had a clue. I always mentioned this kid talking to his mom and still, no clue. :)

    Thanks antznest.

  • This woman is making me understand what she means. She paints the picture.
