BBC North - Inside Out - Parkour

The parkour section of 7th of November's episode of Inside Out. Features footage of Leeds and Sheffield traceurs training in Sheffield along with footage of the Trace Gathering in the Peak District including traceurs such as Danny Ilabacca, Jason Matten, Jin, Brad Moss, Dave Sedgley and the Saiyans. A good piece of positive exposure for parkour in my opinion.

Watch his run at 04:17 and tell me how he's not. If you've ever trained with him, his view on things is not to limit himself by definitions, something I wholeheartedly agree with. He knows what parkour is and parkour is a big part of his training, just because he does some other things as well doesn't make him not a traceur. Perhaps he communicates it badly in this piece but in real life he makes perfect sense.

If you think that, tell him that then, not me. I don't see how you can say because someone does some tricking, they're not a traceur. Danny didn't choose the clips of him doing all the flips, blame the BBC. In the stuff they filmed for this, he does nothing but parkour. The battle to stop flips being considered parkour was lost a long time ago to an army of fuckwitted journalists, personally I prefer to put my efforts into fighting competition, a battle we still have some chance of winning.
