For all intents and purposes, this is quite an excellent fighting game for the Game Gear. It has a good framerate and nice level designs. The characters are far from pretty, but it's interesting to see just how much detail they tried to cram into the overall design of this game. I enjoy playing this game every so often on my Game Gear, but there's one thing I forgot about this game; I never knew just how easy it was.
As I demonstrate, the computer is very easy to beat even on hard difficulty. There is one instance where I let myself get beat down to a critical point in this video, but it is only to demonstrate that desperation moves are in this game, which is pretty cool (Mai and Ryo's attacks are particularly flashy for this game). Most opponents are very easy to beat. Still, this game has a pretty good roster of characters and is a great Game Gear fighting game, perhaps only beaten by a handful of fighters like the Power Rangers (Gasp!) fighting game... but don't knock that one till you've tried it. You'd be amazed how good that game turned out too. Anyway, enjoy.
I still have the Game Gear cartridge of this game and it's a pretty good portable version of the classic Neo-Geo fighter.
