Driving the Volkswagen Scirocco on FM4

I am driving the Volkswagen Scirocco GT at the Top Gear Test Track on Forza Motorsport 4.

Debuted at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, the Scirocco name has been returned since the second generation discontinued in 1992 and it is essentially a sportier version of the Volkswagen Golf. It looks nearly identical to the 2006 Volkswagen IROC Concept car as seen from the 2006 Paris Auto Show. It was produced at the AutoEuropa assembly plant in Palmela, Portugal.

This car has a strong significance in Top Gear history. When Jeremy Clarkson and James May come up with ideas to create a diesel Scirocco advert, we laughed at their numerous failed attempts. With explosions, mother-in-law, man who lost an arm by an accident, James May's failed commercial jingle attempt, being overtaken by the RX-8 and the Brera, remaking an old VW advert with a hint of a man committing suicide, and a funeral with a hint of a woman wearing a black bikini and some explosions at the end, the whole Top Gear "Ad Men" challenge was surely the funniest and this regular 3rd generation Scirocco is truly made me smile.

Sorry but that Scirocco featured in Forza 4 comes with a 2.0 TSi engine, producing 197HP of power and 207lb-ft of torque. It can't do "Berlin to Warsaw in one tank" but it surely has "Power with Responsibility".
