  • @mar4891 I agree, it was rebuilt in 1992 as well. Probably been sitting dry and should have been pre oiled, if I only knew how. It also had no load as this is one of the trucks that had the instruments cut out checking for radioactivity. It came with no gauges. I had that fixed now as well. Sweet running, hard pulling, relatively quiet multifuel. Somebody is going to get a nice truck, mechanically anyway. Thanks for the comment.

  • @721069 Engine was overhauled in 1992 and still had clear break in oil in it. They apparently rebuilt the engine, shipped the truck to the Kansas National Guard, where it sat in storage until released from service. You will have a hard time finding diesel oil in a bottle clearer than the oil in this engine. I have run it enough now it is finally starting to turn gray.
