I've been hearing a lot about how macs are so awesome, etc.
And i seriously thought about getting one...
...until i saw the price
Thus, i compromised: Mac on PC
My Dell XPS M1530 running Mac OS X 10.5.3 via BrazilMac and PC EFI v8. Messing around with some apps, audio quirk (must put computer to sleep to get audio to work?). Ran out of time at the end.

You need to install the correct kernel, that's why your apps are running pisspoor.

i've got the m1530 and shutdown doesn't work.

i have a XPS M1530 and i installed using the kalway thing.how did u get the sound to work.i really need the sound.iv tries a whole lot of different driver and none of them seem to help.Please help me.THX

1.Need to wich it on and off but its smothhh exept on the m1530 shutdown dosent work so you have to do a hard shutdown...can be fixwd.
2.yup all that a mac can do you can do on a hackintosh

I hope a refresh is coming soon, some of their lower-end laptops have newer tech in them. Time to move to DDR3, current gen graphics cards, and newer processors, Dell! And a chicklet style keyboard like the Studio XPS laptops have would be nice. And an LED backlight. And more colour and art options.

Hello, I got leopard installed using iatkosv2i. But I can't get the sigmatel hidef and the intel wifi link 4965agn to work. is there any way you can help?

You need to get drivers for sound. Intel wireless cards don't work with leopard. You'll need to either buy a USB wifi dongle or a broadcom based wireless card (what I did) such as the Dell TrueMobile 1390.

how you make the sound working on your xps 1530 i had the same problem on my xps 1530 please help me how can i make everything work perfect like your.I already bought a new wireless card compatible with mac osx
