Supernatural isn't ending this year. It got picked up for a 6th season. Eric Kripke is stepping down as showrunner and Sera Gamble is taking his place while he will still be a hands-on Exec Producer.

I remember when this trailer was first shown on TV and everyone was like "what the hell is this? it looks really odd!" and now it's incredibly successful and well known and everyone at least knows the basic plot line of it
