Thats what owners of th dogo Canario say. They definately are two different breeds. Please try to go to the Canary islands and tell them that they're dog(presa) and the spanish showdog version(dogo canario) are the same?

@ustasa70 they are not two different breeds if you really sit and do your research you would realise that both dogo and presa have some of the same dogs in the peds. if i breed two presas or two dogos and in that litter u have one black dog does it make it any less of a presa or dogo than its litter mates this argument is one that can go on forever

You own a dog which most likely has a FCI certificate? The name "Dogo Canario" doesn't sell, and that is why we have Dogo owners saying "their the same breed". Why is that owners of the Presa do not insist on calling their dogs a Dogo Canario, yet owners of the Dogo Canario insist on claiming their dogs are a PRESA? I don't want to argue, but I just do not agree with you. My next dog I will purchase from Irema Curta, because I need a work dog not a "champion".

@ustasa70 It is the same breed. Got one dogo canario and one presa canario and they got the same great grandfather on both sides. Same thing, just different registries. One is FCI and the other UKC.
