  • depends on what kind of shape you're in now -- I'm training again after a 38 year hiatus and I've just added them to my regimen (after about six months of conditioning) and they are great. I first saw them used by Dick Wolfe, a fine gymnastics coach, back in 1967 (the Pleistocene era) at a clinic at UC Berkeley and all the guys on his team could do it to a handstand!
