  • The Piano comping on the tenor solo is SO GOOD

  • am i the only one who loves that low clarinet bit towards the end? I think it's soooo damn great, but so is everything else about the tune...whether it's ellington playin or the lincoln jaazzz orchestra.

  • Im on a Walter Blanding( Tenor Soloist) Kick . I had the pleasure of sitting and having a meal with him in 2004 or 2003. He didnt have much to say, seemed sort of removed from this world. It could have been that I was 15 or 16 as well. I love his playing though
