Best of MAME - B - Fighters

Every fighting game on MAME starting with B that you need to know about.

From worst to best:

3 - Burning Rival
2 - Blood Storm
1 - Breakers Revenge

Another slim pickins category for the B's, but get used to it - many letters have multiple categories without a single game worth mentioning!

It's actually been interesting seeing which letters have the most good games and in what categories. I can tell you right now - D, M, and S are all beasts.

Yeah, Time Killers is pretty much just a novelty, albeit a hilarious one to make fun of. And Breakers...that's pretty much right. About as generic as you can get. At least everything works fine though, which is more than you can say for tons of other SF clones.

@jazzx251 The final boss also became playable, but banned in tournaments, while Revenge makes adjustment to the character balance by weakening the previously overpowered Condor and removing Sho's infinite combo from the first game.

@RadicalRomReviews Breakers didn't just model itself after the SFA series, it also modeled itself after some SNK titles, mostly the Fatal Fury series (particularly Fatal Fury 2, Special and 3). Despite being unoriginal looking to some of you, it became one of the several fighting games used in tournaments, especially in Asia, thanks to the discovery of "breakering".

SF is a cross between Data East's 1984 Karate Champ arcade and Konami's 1985 Yie Ar Kung-Fu arcade.

I like Breakers - haven't played Breakers Revenge . Apparently it's the same game with one new character and different coloured backgrounds.
