  • @TOWinkworthIpswich your the biggest idiot i have ever seen. Wing Chun does teach you how to use your hands. 95% of it all is hand. Ive been training under it for a while, and i rarely use my feet but i can still probably kick your ass up and down the street. Bruce Lees, JKD is a hybrid of Wing Chun and others. Im sorry to tell you but you have no arguement here unless you post a video of you "besting" a wing chun fighter, doesn't even have to be a master, because i can tell you you will lose

  • TOWinkworthlpswitch asserts that Bruce Lee thought wing tsun sucks. The reality is that wing tsun is the template from which Bruce developed Jeet Kune Do. He wanted to create a cosmopolitan, hybridized form of motion that combined wing tsun and other kung fu principles with techniques from Western boxing, fencing and non-Chinese Asian martial arts. I train in wing tsun and latosa escrima, I know that in a fight I will not be 100% of either. You mix it up, as Bruce did.

  • @Y2Krashman apply simple principles to it, the principles of attack and defense, and you can quite easily see why...

  • @Y2Krashman Bruce Lee, an experienced fighter, made his own martial art, because he knew like me, that wing chun sucks... SUCKS with capital letters, your closed minded, slowly over years, you have become close minded, sorry but you have, unless you are only open minded to real martial artists, i can tell you now, without a ounce of pride in my heart and with deep understanding of the art of human fighting that wing chun is a bad martial art to learn. In fact it teaches you what not to do...

  • @TOWinkworthIpswich

True, however, Wing Chun is fluidic one move will flow into another. Hand to foot, knee to palm, palm to fist, fist to elbow. In such, you cannot merely state that Wing Chun is boxing, as it is not. A Wing Chun block, might transfer to a grab, and a disabling throw using the legs.

Do I personally recommend Wing Chun, considering I am not trained in it? Not unless one is prepared to years of strict, dedicated training. The expert, however, is lethal. Aka, Bruce Lee.

  • @Y2Krashman Wooo wait a second we are talking about fist fighting and hand to hand fighting here, not legs..

  • @TOWinkworthIpswich

So you're now attempting to tell me that a scissor kick reduces range? Or a butterfly kick?

  • @Y2Krashman i didn't even mean to say that and to be honest i am going to say this instead, 'there is no need to use two hands' in a fist fight, this is why Wing Chun is wrong, it also teaches ways of attack which reduce 'RANGE' and i can tell you now due the very reason every single army in the world use missiles and guns and not SWORDS that range is very essential for enhancing attack. Have a good day

  • @TOWinkworthIpswich

You state that Wing Chun does not teach how to efficiently use both hands. To make such a bold proclamation, you have to have either become proficient in the art yourself, or have defeated those who have.

The question is, which is it? If the answer is neither, then unless you are quoting an expert to which the above applies, then unfortunately you know naught.

  • @Y2Krashman you are right about the 'two' hands bit, but Wing Chun does not teach how to efficiently use both hands, they do not include any movement what so ever, head or body, and they also include hand grabs like in this video, if a sumo went to punch a Wing Chun fighter and the Wing Chun fighter uses the same grab as in this video he's dead meat because he will be close enough for the sumo to grab him
