sorry, but the costumes completely ruin the dance

@HappyHeffalump the costumes arent't suppose to be pretty. The song is about a girl with cancer (cancer of the blood, leukemia) and we are representing red and white blood cells and we didn't want to show any skin or hair, its to focus on the meaning of the song and the dance to go with, to tell the story. I'm sorry you didn't see the true meaning of the dance.

@karadancer147 Well excuse me! I think I completely understand the meaning of the dance, seeing as a choreographed a dance to it last year! And saying that I don't see the true meaning of the dance because I think the costumesare ugly is just dumb. The meaning comes from the lyrics and the gestures. I just think that the costumes are distracting and take away from the dance. They same symbolism could have been portrayed in prettier dresses, still red and white.

@HappyHeffalump like i said, we DID NOT want prettier dresses that was the whole point, we were not suppose to look pretty. Let me re phrase what i said before. instead, im sorry you couldn't look past the costumes, that were more symbolic than just wearing red and white pretty dresses.

@karadancer147 They are still ugly and distracting. I understand where you are coming from, but also see the symbolism in her beauty. Her boyfriend still sees that she is beautiful even though she is sick and bald. The dancer portraying Sarah Beth could have at least been wearing something different. Make her dress stand out, because she feels she stands out, but everyone else still sees her beauty. Then keep the others inthe blood cell costumes b/c she feels they are now taking over her life.

@HappyHeffalump i understand, the costumes are ugly, everyone in the dance knew it, but we understood what our teacher wanted. Sarah beths dress is different (sort of) you just cant see it in the video, her dress part is lacey and the others are just plain. i also understand where you\re coming from, not everyone thinks the same, right?

This is gorgeous! I'm not sure if it's supposed to be but I love the costume idea. Symbolizing to me the red and white blood cells. This gave me the chills. Great job. I'm thinking of learning a gymnastics routine to this song.

@karadancer147 I just watched this video, and I know you guys had this argument 8 months ago, but honestly, I can't believe anyone would criticise the costumes. I thought the concept was beautiful and the costumes made the concept stand out more.
