I applaud The Hour for airing one of the first major stories on this issue. All Canadians should contact their Members of Parliament and urge them to fix this bill - or, failing that, vote it down entirely.

The worrying thing is that the Conservative majority wants this bill to pass. If we kick up a firestorm, they'll have no choice but to listen! Let's band together and kill this thing, Canada!

Keep up the fight! We just barely stopped SOPA here in the USA, but we've already lost much of fair use under DMCA. Please don't let your government follow the same foolish path ours has.

It should be noted that the Digital Locks provision is even more problematic, because it's incredibly difficult to come by DRM- (digital lock) free media these days. So the fact that unlocked media falls under fair use is nearly meaningless.
