do you have evidence to support this? Everything I have ever read says nothing about people being any taller and the FEW sources that mention people being shorter usually have to do with them not eating foods that are very nutrient rich. When you look at the daily intake of food for a person on the middle ages it is less than that of a person today.

whats your evidence for this? Vikings were more cautious in battle this is true. This wasn't cause they were always better warriors but usually because it is hard to get re-enforced when your people are across the sea and you cannot sail a ship back if you don't have enough people. Vikings used bows fairly often as well. You see them used in numerous sagas, Njal's Saga just being on of them.
