So in other words, as I have found out, it DOES NOT WORK for Windows 7?
-
Do you have to have truecrypt on your computer to open the drive after truecrypting it?
-
can u mount it on a computer without truecrypt?
-
@holapoalo all the truecrypt folders are on the usb.
-
So how do u open it on a different computer without truecrypt on it?
-
there is no auto run so.. dont "hide" the file.. keep it visible and open it manually.. a bit more work but it's worth it you want to encrypt it.. alternatively you could store truecrypt on your computer and run it from there... if auto run still existed we would be stuck with around ??? more viruses..

@ThePhoenixRider Then what do we do instead? Just click it?
Will it work for Linux?

@mattxhand There is a Linux version of TrueCrypt. So yes, you should be able to mount the volume from Linux.

is my first time for me doing this! so what happens when you want to use it in other computer it just ask for the password?

@MrErickpj Double click, or right click and select "mount". Then it will ask for the password (only on Windows < XP. Vista and 7 disable autorun).
