The second in my series about the places of interest, sights and sounds of Hastings. In this film I take you further along the beach to central Hastings. There's footage of the outskirts of the Old Town, of the Harbour arm, the West hill lift and the beautiful view as well as a few personal memories along the way. I hope Jack Hargreaves would be proud of me!

  • Hi Eat, Well, how to respond to this comment? I know that I have a rather idealistic view of life and that is obviously reflected in my films but I have to say that you sound as if you have serious anger/depression/self esteem issues that need dealing with. Life is horrid at times and the world can be a cruel place but you just can't take everyone's problems onto your shoulders. My advise to you would be to get help. I did and it REALLY helped. Good luck to you.

  • Thank you for the lovely videos of Hastings. I've never been there and it's nice to see some footage. I want to come visit this year to see if I'd like to live there some day =)

  • After spending the first 40+ years of my life in America, and travelling extensively, I have to say there is nowhere I'd rather live than Hastings. Good job showing off our beautiful town! Naysayers? Feel free to move. :)

  • My favourite pub :) And bikers are nice people :)

  • @GeorgeHasTalent

Its the East Hill Lift :) West Hill lift is in George Street which goes upto the Castle.

  • so wheres all the skag eds then lol

  • I think its the East Hill Lift, not West

  • its not just the place thats the problem here , its the people !! theres soooo much attitude in this place , you can feel the tension as u walk the streets in the town centre , soo many sad individuals spend all day walking the streets trying to intimidate the people , not recommended for a daytrip by any means !!

  • he aint the best tour guide,,should be showing may day.,,bonfire night,,,carnival week down the old town and just drop the commentary...i've lived here for 20 years and love every minute of it......yayy

  • well you just about summed it up there, but can you escape the Hastings curse

  • There's nothing worth seeing in Hastings just another sad seaside town overun by holiday makers. It's the same with all seaside towns, seasonal work not worth having (low wage Care work & Catering) I've lived in Hastings for 30years+, & even with the money spent on it by the Lotery (Millions) It doesn't take away the fact, that Hastings is capital of Suicide & O.A.P.s I am working to correct the hell I live in by moving away in the near future.
