Dear God, she has the perfect voice for a lament....

@steven120566 no. can't tell you. 'cept maybe that the creators of this show were advanced. i agree. magic. the only show i ever loved.

I remember seeing this episode during the night that it premiered, and realizing that while I had only watched the show sporadically over the seasons (I was in high school and college), that I had watched the premier of both the first and last episodes. Northern Exposure is like a perfect time capsule of America right before digital media gave us thee ability to communicate with anyone, anywhere.

I have the complete collection on DVD and have watched every episode apart from the ones on the last disc. I can't bring myself to watch the last episodes. Don't want to ever feel it's over.

Can someone tell me why no one can make a show that comes close to this one today? TV is mostly reality television and murder. This show was magic! Television needs more programming like this one with great character developement, acting, writing, and subject matter that actually involves something other than someone was murdered or someone is ill. This show was awesome. I'm sad about Maggie and Joel, though.
