  • Lin-Manuel, who is puerto rican & part Mexican, grew up in washington heights/inwood. It is naive (absurd) of you to think that there are only dominicans in WH - there are puerto ricans, cubans, mexicans, white people, jewish people, black people, etc., etc. - people from all over the world who live in WaHi, even Koreans. It's a shame you hated the BEST MUSICAL of 2008 which had EVERYTHING to do with Washington Heights.

  • i saw in the heights and that show was fucking amazingggg! it deserved to win!! puerto ricooooooooo =)

  • just because it was set in washington heights doesnt mean this shit doesnt happen anywhere else. the shows about family, showing how people struggle, parents always wanting better for there kids, specially when coming from a different country. in the show there are different ethnicities not just hispanic people. this show is absolutely amazing and Lin-Manuel Miranda is a fucking god send so relax ya batty

  • I'm black and I loved In the heights it was really amazing and I loved the score totally genuis

  • Lin-Manny is 100% puerto rican and lived in washington heights himself... he also wrote the musical! hello know the fact

  • hths really messd up sayin there r only dominicans living in WH.. but tlaking about the show..it ws amazing best show ever, i can relate.. i am part domincan myself but i live in kc not WH

  • best show ive seen!

  • the nerve, the nerve, the nerve. Fist of all lin is a puerto rican that grew up in washington heights, which is why he made the setting there. second, "using the names of domincans", i laugh that you think anybody got to use the names of domincans. its not like people are going to say, oh theres a domincan play lets see it. puerto ricans, cubans, mexicans are a little more established and known. a good play is a good play, no matter if its black, white, or latin.

  • lin manuel is actually full puerto rican.

  • I think that Lin portrayed it amazingly...he could have easily segregated his cast and yes while it was predominately Hispanic there were also other ethnicities in the show...anyone who "hates" the show is ignorant bc they don't know that they are talking about....As a white boy who hates rap and dosen't care for Spanish music I LOVED the show and its the best thing on broadway in the past 5 years
